Last-Minute Gift Idea: How to Make Gift Cards Personal
Dress 'em up! (plastic gift card specific)
- Level 1: Wrap it up nicely, whether it's a DIY card holder or a store-bought one.
- Level 2: Turn into a two-in-one gift, if you will. I run into this idea of making the packaging a gift by itself on Pinterest the other day. For example, buy a small animal or car from Dollar Tree and tie your wrapped gift card on the animal's back. Presentation is the key.
- Level 3: Make it a part of a theme. Ask for an extra Starbucks coffee cup next time you go there and stuff it with tea bags and chocolate. Put your Starbucks gift card and straw in it, and tie a ribbon around the straw. Here goes a simple hand-crafted present.
