Why You Should WASH Your Vegetables and Fruits
Take-Away Message
There is no way to reduce your exposure to pesticide residues to zero. They are in the soil and storage facilities. They are used and found in both conventional and organic produce. But there is a way to reduce the amount to a safe level by cleaning them. Let's soak our produce in salt, acidic, or alkaline water for 5 minutes. Let's then scrub them using a food brush or rub them gently and rinse them under cold water. Let's be responsible for the health of our own and your family.
