Studies show that foods that are frozen shortly after harvesting often contain the same amount of nutrients as that of their fresh alternatives.
Frozen or canned foods are convenient, especially when their fresh alternatives are out of season. Remember to check out the nutrition labels carefully before purchasing them, because some of these foods with a long shelf life are often high in sodium or preservatives.
