8 Foods Safe to Eat After The Expiration Date
2. Bread: 5-7 days past expiration date
Bread past expiration date is still ready to go with making a sandwich or French toast, as long as you don't see mold growing on the surface. In case of mold, never leave your bread casually in a moist environment. Always store them on the counter or in the freezer, if you want to extend their shelf life to 3-6 months. It will be edible after reviving in water and a 350 degrees F oven, despite losing some freshness and flavor for sure.
