Stress Eating During Pandemics
Another way to approach stress eating is by practicing intuitive eating. When your body needs food, it sends out information called hunger cues to let you know. Therefore, every time you want to go for a bag of chips, or chocolate, take a minute to think if you really are hungry. Intuitive eating also means not to see food as scarcity and allow yourself to eat food you want (yes, including those unhealthy snacks that should be consumed in moderation). This idea may seem impractical, but if you eat any food you would like to and stop when you are full, you will soon find out that you do not crave them as much as when you restrict yourself.
